Krabi Cave Restaurant GDuring my trip to Thailand last Summer I was lucky enough to stay at the Rayavadee Resort in Krabi. I discuss the Rayavadee premier resort in more depth in my other post, but I definitely needed to dedicate an entire additional post to the stunning Rayavadee cave restaurant, ‘The Grotto’.
The Grotto Rayavadee forms part of the 26 acre island resort and is situated on Phra Nang Beach in Krabi. I had seen photos of the restaurant on the internet before we got to Thailand, but pictures did not do it justice! I don’t think I’ll ever see a more idyllic sunset.
Our table was right by the beach and we arrived at around 5pm with plenty of time to watch the sunset. Our food was reasonably priced, from memory around £15 per main course, but I would happily have paid double that for the views of Krabi on offer.
Although The Grotto is a Rayavadee restaurant and fairly difficult to access unless you are staying at the resort, it is open to the public and open 12:00-20:00. To access it from your own hotel, you would need to hire a boat to take you to Phra Nang Beach in the evening and arrange a time to be picked back up. You can access a sample sample menu on the Rayavadee website
I can’t recommend it enough!
Pin for later..
